I wanted to really celebrate all the fabulous women that have been a part of my personal and small biz journey over the last 7 years and what better way to say thank you than a boozy Galentine's Day brunch!
My brief was bold, bright, colourful and playful. I wanted to play with metallics, and colour and primarily wanted to showcase our unique products and play with mixing and matching pattern.
So I started with the colour scheme. I absolutely love the look of bright orange and pink on a background of black and white stripes, so the colour scheme was decided pretty quickly. I knew we needed to have pops of pink and I wanted to try mixing in some metallics to play with texture. I was also very clear that I wanted to play with shapes, so the hunt began for interesting shapes that would work together to create an interesting table setting.
Once I had decided on the Lip Dessert Plates (aren't they gorgeous!?), It was easy to build the rest of the table scene from there. The metallic gold worked perfectly with our Jollity & Co Posh Gold Charger Plates and the cheetah print Femme Dinner Plates also added the perfect mix of fun. The cheetah print was unexpected but worked beautifully with the metallic gold accents of the other two plates and helped the pink of the Lip Plates pop even more!
I knew that we wouldn't have long to set-up the table and backdrop so I wanted to ensure that we could do it with a minimum of fuss, but I still wanted to make a big impact. So adding in glass vases in a variety of shapes and sizes, and using bright florals for a pop of colour worked well. I actually arranged the flowers at home so when we were dressing the table it was super easy to just place the vases. The colourful florals added to the simple but effective table scape that didn't take hours to create!
There was so much colour in the room that we wanted the backdrop to be simple but still playful, so we layered Metallic Curtains along the top and then dressed the screen with just a handful of Honeycomb Balls and Bells, along with a couple of our Honeycomb Garlands. I loved the how the Metallic Curtains added movement - they were almost dancing with the girls as we drank our mimosas!
Holly Ray's baked the most ahhhmazing Pink Lemonade Celebration Cake so we could showcase some of our Cake Toppers. It provided the perfect backdrop for our Pompom and Hip Hip Hooray Cake Toppers and was delicious (we may or may not have demolished the entire cake on the spot!).
The final product we want to share with you all was our Party Bags - you all went nuts for these when I posted them in our stories. These Party Bags were designed by me (I know!! I'm like a fully fledged product designer now!), and I was waiting with bated breath to see if the shipment would be delivered before the Launch Party. I was dancing with joy when they arrived the day before as it meant that my vision was coming to life! I really wanted to offer a product that was fun, flirty, reusable and unique. There is nothing like it on the market and I am so excited to be sharing it with you all!
